Are you thinking about engraving your jewelry? Let us discuss the style options and costs associated with machine versus hand engraving before you place your order.

Precious and costume beads, including pearls, can also be restrung. Gemsmith also offers laser repairs on site for pinpoint accuracy of more delicate situations and materials.

Gemsmith buys gold, platinum and silver as well as diamonds and fine precious gemstones.  We will write you a check immediately, or bring in your old jewelry to sell as scrap in order to offset the cost of your purchase. We will give you even more to use toward your purchase when you sell your scrap prior to picking up your final order.

appraisals

Gemsmith has two graduate gemologists on staff. Each gemologist received their education and degrees from the Gemological Institute of America—G.I.A. We do jewelry appraisals for insurance, estate and liquidation requirements while you wait. Please call ahead (732-505-9191). Appointments can be scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and/or Saturdays.
